I’m so thrilled to share that my work was featured on Once Wed earlier this week. This was a styled photo shoot that took place at Villa Woodbine in Coconut Grove. What a spectacular location! This was the creative vision of the the very talented Miranda Estes of Sugar(ed)Designs in South Florida. The amazing photographs that you see here were taken by Ozzy Garcia, gorgeous floral designs by Julia Rohde Designs.
Most of the time, I am not present on set when these items are photographed. Miranda contacted me and shared her Pinterest inspiration board and overall feel for the shoot, then provided the text and blank sheets of gold paper for me to create the menus. It is not often that I am given the free creative control of such details. In this case Miranda wanted to see what I would come up with, and I think they worked well in these lovely photographs! The hardest part for me when working on styled shoots, is to come up with fake menus and fictitious addresses for the stationery items that are being photographed, but she had that all ready for me- I love when that happens!
The invitation featured here is an actual sample of a letterpress design that I created for Bella Figura. It is from my exclusive collection of designs, called “Modern Chateau“, and this is exactly the type of wedding I had dreamed up when I designed this invitation for the 2013 collection. You can’t see this, but the edges are painted with gold. The way that the invitation was photographed has got to be one of my favorite photos ever, that dress! I do hope to collaborate with this talented team in the future, Thanks guys! xoxo M.
